The GMC-B2100Y is a full-metal analog chronograph in the 2100 series that carries on the concept of the original G-SHOCK DW-5000C. The case and bezel are stainless steel, following the octagonal bezel shape of the DW-5000C, with a fine resin buffer set between the bezel and case to deliver shock resistance in a metal exterior. The bezel is shaped three-dimensionally through forging, cutting, and polishing — hairline finished on top and mirror polished on the angled surfaces — while the indices and inner-dial ring get fine machining and vapor deposition for a premium look. The band is Tough Silicone, balancing wear resistance with comfortable fit, with gunmetallic vapor deposition and a hairline finish on the underside to match the full-metal case.
High-density mounting technology enables a slimmer build, and Bluetooth connects to the dedicated app to keep accurate time information. Tough Solar power and a high-brightness LED light round out the practical feature set.
